Who We Are
William Dillon started Ezra To Israel (United States) and Project Ezra (Israel) and is the president of both non-profits. They were started to help innocent Israeli citizens who are terror victims, wounded or killed soldiers’ families, as well as hostage families. He and his wife Karen have a great love for Israel and believe the people there have a right to live in peace. The word “Ezra” means help or support in Hebrew. We raise financial support through Ezra To Israel which is a legal 501C3 non-profit registered with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC ID number 11040541). Those funds are then transferred to Israel, and disbursement is made through Project Ezra which is registered with the Israel Corporation Authority Ministry of Justice
(ID number 580743797).
How We started
We started operating Ezra To Israel in January 2023 with helping families attacked by terrorists in Israel. We were there on October 7, 2023 when the horrific attack was launched by Hamas. We immediately began helping victims of the atrocious attack for residents living near Gaza. Only days after the attack we began meeting with families from the small town of Kibbutz Nir Oz. Most survivors lost everything, and Ezra To Israel was there supporting them with financial help for them to buy food, clothing, and pay expenses for family members' funerals. We helped many other families who lost loved ones at the Nova Concert, families of wounded or killed soldiers, as well as families of the hostages.
What We do
Israel has continued to come under attack on multiple fronts. We have been attacked by Hamas in Gaza, from Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria to our north, from Iran to our west, and from the Houthis to the south. The IDF continues to battle terrorists internally in Judea and Samaria. Ezra To Israel provides financial help to victims of rocket attacks when homes are damaged. We continue to help families of wounded or killed soldiers.
